Each pod is hand-pollinated, carefully cured, and slow-dried to develop the rich, warm, and deeply aromatic flavor that only real vanilla can offer\u00a0 free from the artificial sweetness of synthetic vanilla extract.

Each pod is about 16 \u2013 17 cm long<\/strong> and looks a bit like a wrinkled, skinny green bean before it\u2019s cured and dried, at which point it turns dark brown to almost black and develops a soft, slightly oily, leathery texture.
