Three Friends. One Vision.

The story of Batang Kali Vanille™️ began not simply with a business plan, but with three friends whose paths crossed at just the right time.

Syed Muiz had developed a growing interest in exploring the potential of vanilla farming, while CK and Dr. Chong had already begun their journey into cultivation. By chance, all three found themselves exploring agricultural plots through the Department of Agriculture. They could have taken separate plots and pursued their ambitions independently. Instead, a simple thought brought them together why not build something together?

That decision became the beginning of Masvanilla Sdn. Bhd. and Batang Kali Vanille™️, bringing together three partners with a shared ambition to cultivate one of the world's most valuable crops here in Malaysia.

From Batang Kali, Selangor

Their journey took root in Batang Kali, where they established what they believe to be the first commercial vanilla farm in Selangor.

For years, the vanilla used in Malaysia has largely depended on imported supply. Batang Kali Vanille™️ represents a different possibility vanilla grown locally, harvested closer to home and cultivated with careful attention to quality.

The difference can be experienced in the bean itself. Freshly cultivated vanilla locally develops a distinctive and remarkably rich aroma. When scraped, the bean's paste reveal a moist, supple and naturally oily texture, releasing an intense fragrance and flavour that can transform pastries, desserts, beverages and culinary creations.

It is this freshness, character and quality that form the foundation of what Batang Kali Vanille™️ aspires to represent a premium Malaysian grown vanilla worthy of the finest kitchens and international markets.

Growing More Than Vanilla

Vanilla is often regarded as the second most expensive spice in the world after saffron, reflecting the extraordinary care, time and craftsmanship required to cultivate and process every bean.

For Batang Kali Vanille™️, however, its value goes beyond the bean.

The founders see an opportunity to develop vanilla into a new high-value agricultural commodity for Malaysia, one capable of creating economic opportunities, encouraging specialised agriculture, supporting downstream industries and, eventually, establishing Malaysian grown vanilla in international markets.

What started with three friends and a plot of land in Batang Kali has therefore grown into a much larger ambition.

To cultivate something exceptional from Malaysian soil and to build an industry that one day may reach far beyond it.
